Every story

a source.

History is more than a sequence of dates. Places change, events overlap, and interpretations evolve. Terra Temporis brings the records together while keeping their uncertainties visible.

This edition preserves your imported collection, merges clear duplicates, and records selected evidence-backed corrections. A citation badge shows attached references; it does not certify every claim. Suggested links are associations, and empire outlines are illustrative.

CHOOSE A PERIOD

Look across time.

Enter BCE or CE, or a negative number for BCE. There is no year zero. Spanning events are included when they overlap your period.

ABOUT THIS EDITION

A map is a beginning.

This independent edition was reconstructed from your Terra Temporis code, database snapshot, and uploaded CSV. It is a research collection, not a complete or fully verified history of the world.

Dates and place

Years use BCE/CE chronology with no year zero. Early dates may be approximate. Ranges overlap the selected period; ongoing records extend to this edition’s year. The map uses modern generalized borders as geographic reference. Imported event coordinates may represent a country or region instead of a specific site. Off-Earth and invalid points are excluded from the Earth map.

Evidence and connections

“Citations attached” indicates supplied references. Imported links and claims have not all been independently verified. Placeholder source URLs were removed and retained in the audit record. Most relationship links were generated from time, region, and text similarity; they appear as suggested associations, not established causes. Figure-to-event links are related archive entries, not proof of participation.

Empires

Imported empire geometry is schematic and lacks source metadata. The optional territory layer is illustrative and should not be treated as a precise historical boundary map. Dates describe the snapshots provided, with gaps between them.

Cleanup and personal research

High-confidence duplicate rows were merged with original IDs, field alternatives, and references retained. Ambiguous near duplicates remain flagged. Selected historical errors were corrected with supporting sources. Bookmarks, imported additions, and record changes are saved to your signed-in workspace. JSON exports preserve the historical record’s full metadata and provenance.

“Today’s discovery” is a daily reading suggestion. The imported collection lacks sufficiently verified month/day dates to claim anniversaries.
